📣 Good News on Tariffs (With a Few Crinkly Caveats) - A Tariff Update for Our US Customers
Hey folks,
This weekend brought some promising news: China and the United States have agreed to a 90-day reduction in reciprocal tariffs, lowering rates by 115% during that period. That could mean a headline tariff rate on imports from China as low as 30%, a welcome shift!
We’re pleased, even a little excited, by this development. But we want to be upfront:
💬 We’re still waiting on full clarity around how this applies to stock already en route or in customs and whether this adjustment will affect the lingering 7.5% tariff from earlier trade policy.
Much of our current stock was imported under the previous, higher rates and anything already in transit might fall under those same rules. So while this news is positive, any pricing impact won’t be immediate.
We’re watching closely and will share firmer updates as soon as we have the detailed guidance.
For now, we’re cautiously optimistic and hopeful that this signals a meaningful step toward long-term stability for ABU and the community we serve.
Thanks, as always, for sticking with us.
We’ll keep you informed every step of the way.
