An Important Update on Pricing - ABUniverse USA
Dear ABU Family,
We want to be upfront with you about some changes to our pricing. Due to recent increases in tariffs on goods from China, where most of our products are manufactured, our costs have risen significantly. These tariffs have jumped by 10% *TWICE* in a short period. When the initial increase from 7.5% to 17.5% took effect, we had hoped to absorb most, if not all, of the added cost by looking for greater efficiencies across our supply chain and operation. However, the additional 10% increase (bringing the total to 27.5% for those who need Croccy to help you keep up!) has become unsustainable for ABUniverse to absorb on our own.
To counter this, we will add $3 per bag to most of our range. This increase is not a markup or an inflation beyond the direct cost increase; we have no desire to add to the financial strain we’re all feeling. This adjustment reflects the additional cost and allows us to continue providing the quality and consistency you expect from ABU.
Updates to Bulk Discounts
To help offset this increase, we are adjusting how our bulk discount model works:
- Bulk discounts will now apply to full carton quantities (multiples of 4 bags). Previously, discounts applied to orders of 5, 6, and 7 bags, but moving forward, only full carton orders (4, 8, 12, etc.) will qualify.
- Orders of 8+ bags (8, 12, 16, etc.) will now receive a 25% discount (up from 20%).
- These changes allow us to pass on savings from optimized shipping and packaging, helping to minimise the impact of these tariffs.
We know price changes are never welcome news, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding as we navigate these challenges. We remain committed to delivering the best ABDL products in the world and hope this situation is short-lived.
