Sweating and Soaking: Padded at the Gym 💪
Happy Squishy- Big-Diaper-Friday tykes!
Ian River here! Enjoying the special padded weekly holiday in double-layered PeekABU (maximizing the swell)!
Coming into this year, and leaving my 20s, I decided to make a commitment to work out regularly and increase my muscle mass (as well as get a healthier routine for my better years).
So for this Big Diaper Friday instalment, I want to provide some advice for those gym-babies and working out in diapers!
Feel the Burn — and the Powder! 😶🌫️
Unlike the baby gym you tykes are likely to use, the big boy gym requires a lot of motion, and with motion, expect a lot of friction in the diaper area, and with friction comes friction burns.
Here’s where baby powder comes in handy!
After taping yourself up in your diaper of choice, pour some powder into your hands and apply generously to your inner thighs where your skin makes contact with your diaper, think like the pole vaulters at the Olympics! Be generous with the powder!
Further tip: consider swapping to a cloth-backed diaper, like Little Kings or AlphaGatorZ, before hitting the gym! Plastic diapers, when you sweat, tend to stick to your skin, increasing friction.
Dress for Success! 👟
As we discussed in a past article about wearing diapers out of the house, finding clothes that comfortably fit over diapers and help to hide extra bulk will help you feel more relaxed and focused on the gains!
”Underwear that is categorized for “sports” and/or “active wear” often is compressive and can help reduce the bulgey diaper appearance! Just be sure to order a size bigger or two than you typically would (to account for your padded butt)!
Prepare for the Gym 💧
Ensure you have all your essentials ready to go!
Have your workout outfit set out and ready to throw on (that includes your diaper). Pack yourself some water, or if you prefer, an electrolyte-filled drink, just avoid sugary drinks! No need to work even harder to burn it off, nor will your diaper like it!
Grab a spare change, for those “just in case” incidents!
You Got This Baby! 🏋️
If you’re like me, heading to the gym crinkly is incredibly validating! Even a workout isn’t an excuse to go unprotected for little ones! Or it’s just another way to normalize your diapered lifestyle!
Don’t forget to stretch, think your diaper yoga poses! Stay hydrated, your muscles will appreciate it, and you’ll be waddling out with one soggy diaper!
Take care crinkly friends, and catch your next BDF!
